Order in place to challenge anti-social acts in the Bay

An order aiming to stamp out anti-social acts in Colwyn Bay has sadly come into force once again.

As a result of several incidents of criminal damage, public order and anti-social behaviour offences reported in last few days, North Wales Police have applied a Dispersal order from 3pm today (Thursday Aug 19) to 5am on Saturday 21st August.

This means that any individuals or groups asked to leave the area designated on the attached map by a police officer, must do so immediately, and if they return, could be arrested, or in the case of minors, returned to their home address.

Sgt Daniel Ball said: "We take the harassment of our residents very seriously and we are not prepared to let the actions of an inconsiderate minority impact upon our community.

"Dispersal Orders are one of the many options we use to tackle these issues, and I would urge all parents to make their children aware of this particular order. We will not hesitate to take action against any individual or group who ignores this order."

"Community safety remains a priority for your local policing team.  If you have any concerns relating to anti-social behaviour, please contact us via live webchat or on 101."
