December 11, 2019 - 1396 views

Conwy Social Care and Education Service are holding a series of information sessions for parents and carers about the Additional Learning Needs Transformation (ALN) programme. These sessions follow recent workshops held by SNAP Cymru.

The ALN system is the new statutory support system for children and young people aged 0 to 25 in Wales with learning needs that is due to come into force in September 2021.

The framework of the new system is created by the Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018.

Through this statutory framework the Welsh Government aims to ensure that all learners with ALN are supported to overcome barriers to learning and can achieve their full potential.

The drop-in sessions provide information and offer opportunities to ask questions about the Additional Learning Needs Transformation Programme across Wales and how this might effect families and young people across the locality.
