As the holiday season gets underway in North Wales and tourist levels are far in excess of normal due to international travel restrictions, the council has announced that it intends to restrict parking in Conwy to keep visitors safe.

In an announcement earlier, Conwy Council have confirmed that no unauthorised vehicles will be allowed onto Conwy Quay during the summer holidays, to keep pedestrians safe during this exceptionally busy time.

Delivery vehicles and access to properties and businesses will be permitted where prior permission or permits have been granted.

Furthermore, the council says that some car parking spaces on Castle Street will also be unavailable to help pedestrians and people keep their distance whilst queuing at shops.
