Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was seriously assaulted as he cycled in Conwy.

The 20-year-old man was riding his bike down Mill Hill in Gyffin towards the junction of Pengarth at around 1.40pm today, Wednesday 24th July, when he was stopped by an unknown man, who then went on to attack him.

PC 3222 Lloyd-Williams said: “The victim states that he was stopped by the man, who was dressed all in black and was wearing a hoodie. As it was a very hot day, someone would have noticed this man, who is believed to be in his late 20s."

“Thankfully the cyclist’s injuries were not serious but I am keen to speak to anyone who may be able to assist with our enquiries.”

Anyone who saw the incident is asked to contact PC Lloyd Williams at Llandudno Police Station on 101 quoting reference X104903.
