Officers are currently investigating three instances of assault, reported at a Llandudno secondary school.

The investigation relates to an incident at Ysgol John Bright yesterday (Wednesday, 10 September), during which the school was briefly locked down.

A 13-year-old male has been interviewed by officers this morning and subsequently released under investigation.

Inspector Mathew Kelly-Smith said: “Following reports of a disturbance at Ysgol John Bright yesterday, officers attended and spoke with staff.

“A 13-year-old boy has since been interviewed under caution in connection with the offences and released pending further enquiries.

“I’d like to reassure parents and local residents that this was an isolated incident, which posed no wider risk to the public.”
