Three slippery characters were put into custody yesterday in connection with the theft of used cooking oil in North Wales.
Police from the Intercept team stopped a van just outside Llanddulas after receiving reports that the occupants were attending business locations in North Wales, trying to steal their used cooking oil.
A quanity of oil was recovered from the van and Police suspect that it may be stolen.
With the cost of living crisis increasing, unscrupulous individuals have taken to visiting restaurants, pubs and hotels to take supplies of used oil which are normally recycled.
A spokesperson said: "We're pleased that these slippery characters are in custody and criminal property taken out of the hands of suspected members of an Organised Crime Gang".
