Police urge essential travel only as ice and snow bites

Driving conditions remain poor today - particularly across parts of Gwynedd and Anglesey due to the icy conditions and with some areas having seen further snow fall overnight.

North Wales Police are currently dealing with several stranded motorists in areas such as the A487 south of Caernarfon heading towards Gardolbenmaen.

A spokesperson said: "We are advising motorists to only travel if absoloutely necessary, however, If you must travel, please allow plenty of time for your journey and remember to keep a safe stopping distance at all times."
