Local residents were taken back today when train services between Blaenau Ffestiniog and Llandudno Junction were 'suddenly' suspended.
The essential link between homes in the Conwy Valley and the North Wales coast has been halted for three weeks to allow maintainence work to take place in Blaenau and at Dollgarrog.
However many claim they received very little warning of the suspension and despite a bus service replacing services, journey times are expected to lengthen and cause disruption.
The line was re-opened in August in time for the National Eisteddfod in Llanrwst following devastation caused by Storm Gareth in March of last year.
Repairs were rumoured to have cost Network Rail many millions and this was on top of money spent in previous years following isolated flooding between Maenan and Tal-y-Cafn.
The line is expected to re-open on December 15th.
