Read, Reward, Repeat: Conwy's Summer Reading Challenge

June 30, 2025 - 635 views

The Summer Reading Challenge in Conwy County starts on Saturday, aiming to encourage kids aged 4-11 to read 6 library books by the end of summer.

Children can join at any library to receive a collector poster, stickers, and a medal and certificate upon completion.

During the summer, children can visit any library in Conwy County to join the Summer Reading Challenge, and fire up their imaginations through the power of reading and creative expression.

Cllr Dilwyn Roberts, Conwy’s Cabinet Member for Culture, Governance and IT, said: “The Summer Reading challenge is always popular in Conwy County, and it’s a great opportunity for children to discover the activities and resources that are available in their local library.”

How it works:
Children sign up at the library to start their challenge.
Borrow books and get reading!
For every book read, children will pick up stickers along with other rewards as they progress through the challenge.
Every child who completes the challenge, by reading 6 library books, receives a medal and certificate.
