Rescue services came to the aid of a vessel suffering from engine fatigue in Conwy last night.

Alongside Llandudno Coastguard, Conwy Lifeboat were also tasked with the recovery at the Beacons Jetty in Conwy.

The casualty vessel was being towed by another vessel who was in the area and safely negotiated the river, escorted by the Lifeboat, to bring the casualty vessel alongside the jetty safely.

A spokesperson for Llandudno Coastguard said: "Once secure, we ensured the crew were safe on board and had everything they needed before we were stood down.

"We are currently recruiting for new volunteers to join stations in North Wales and North West England.

"This is one of the many varied tasks we can be called out for. If you are interested in joining us, please see the information here https://www.gov.uk/volunteer-as-a-coastguard/what-to-expect-as-a-volunteer/
