North Wales Police have reported a number of instances of rogue traders operating in the community over recent weeks.
Unfortunately one elderly victim in the Conwy area lost a significant sum of money when she paid a cash deposit for building works that were never started after a rogue trader called at her home out of the blue.
Rachel Roberts, Financial Abuse Safeguarding Officer said: "We would discourage anyone from engaging with cold callers on the doorstep. Remember - you don’t have to open the door to anyone you don’t know or aren’t expecting."
