As part of an RYA (Royal Yachting Association) accredited Sea Survival course held recently in Llandudno, delegates spent some time touring Llandudno Lifeboat Station where Coxswain Graham Heritage showed them around the all-weather Shannon class lifeboat William F Yates.
Deputy Launching Authority Alun Pari Huws explained how lifeboats are tasked and gave a tour of the boathouse including the Shannon Launch and Recovery System.
Coxswain Graham Heritage then gave an interactive presentation on assisting casualties at sea whether they be craft or persons in the water.
Stuart Gibson, who delivering the Sea Survival course, said "I am very grateful to personnel at the station for accommodating us and for the insight, expertise and experience shared with the delegates by the Coxswain who found it most useful."
