Seagulls could be in the pecking order for quarter finals

The Seagulls have been drawn away to Flint Town United in the fourth round of the JD Welsh Cup, with a place in the quarter-finals up for grabs. The tie is scheduled for the weekend of January 25th/26th.

The two clubs will firstly meet in a league match this Saturday (December 14) with Flint, who include ex-Bay stalwart Danny Andrews, currently the main challengers to Prestatyn Town for the JD Cymru North title and promotion to the Welsh Premier.

Colwyn Bay manager Craig Hogg commented: "I am sure both clubs will be happy with the draw and both will fancy their chances of progressing in the competition.

"Flint are the form team in the league and have put together a great run of results recently, but we know a lot about each other and how each other looks to play, so I'm sure it will be a great contest at the end of January.

"For now we have an extremely important month of games coming up in the league and that is all our attention will be fixed on at the moment.

"We play Flint away this weekend in the league and then we play two huge 'derby' games against Conwy Borough and Llandudno and entertain Llangefni Town.

"The schedule in the short term is really demanding, with three games in the space of six days, so we will need to be very efficient with the squad, whilst trying to get as many points as we can."
