Colwyn Bay ended their home campaign with a 5-0 victory over bottom side Llanraeadr YM to stay within a point of third-placed Guilsfield.

James Kirby netted his 21st goal of the campaign to give the Seagulls a 1-0 half-time lead, and they ran away with the game in the second half with further goals from skipper Tom McCready (61), his first in 12 games, Craig Lindfield (66), Sam Jones (70) and a first goal since rejoining the club for substitute Ash Woods (87).

It was a commanding victory with relatively little riding on the game and manager Steve Jones said: “The lads attitude was again first class.

“Last week I thought everybody was fantastic and today was just the same.

“First half we were a little bit sloppy, but the second half was so much better, we dominated and thoroughly deserved the 5-0 win.”

The manager was pleased to see five different players on the schoresheet, but added: ”That comes down to hard work. It is what we want and what we are trying build going into next season.”
