Fire crews remain at the scene of a house fire in the Conwy Valley village of Rowen after emergency services were called shortly before 11am.

North Wales Fire and Rescue Service confirmed that seven fire appliances and an aerial ladder platform were sent to the incident, which involves a property in the village.

A spokesperson for the service said crews were called to a “house fire” at around 11:00 and remain in attendance.

The scale of the response suggests firefighters are tackling a significant fire, with the aerial ladder platform likely being used to access the roof area and help contain the fire from above.

North Wales Police said officers are at the scene solely to help with traffic management while emergency crews deal with the incident.

The road between Rowen and Pontwgan has been closed, with motorists and members of the public being urged to avoid the area while the emergency response continues.

No information has yet been released about possible injuries or the cause of the fire. Stay with Bayside for an update as soon as it become available.
