Sharing best practice for Safeguarding in North Wales

November 16, 2020 - 1645 views

This week is National Safeguarding Week, with organisations across Wales working to raise the profile of this important national issue.

Conwy County Borough Council is supporting the event and is spreading the word across all services to make sure everyone is aware of the signs of a safeguarding issue, their duty to report concerns, and how to report a concern.

Councillor Cheryl Carlisle, Cabinet Member for Children, Families and Safeguarding said: “The key message for this year is ‘Together we can keep people safe’ and National Safeguarding Week helps us to focus on making sure we all play our part.

“Safeguarding is central and pivotal to everyone's work here in Conwy all through the year and we work closely with partner agencies every day. We all have a duty to listen to the voices of the vulnerable, and act on what we hear.

"It’s especially important during the current pandemic to know we are all committed to keeping children, young people and vulnerable adults safe.”
