A very popular children's arts festival is returning again over this weekend but unfortunately due to Covid, a little different in format!
takepART is an annual festival, now in its 12th year, for 0 to 18-year-olds and their families and traditionally it has been held face-to-face down at Venue Cymru in Llandudno.
The event in the past has attracted many thousands of children, giving them them the opportinuty to have a go and get creative.
Starting from 20th March Venue Cymru will be running a series of online arts and theatre based events so you can get involved with from your own home.
A series of activities will run across 4 weekends including a virtual online aquarium wull of colourful, magical digital fish created by participants and a takepART photography art trail.
Zoe Ellen will be online for two glam makeup tutorials aimed at children and young people whilst professional performer, vocalist, actress and teacher, Jade Pritchard, takes everyone for some drama fun including vocal warm up techniques and drama games that can be tried at home.
Colwyn Bay's Magic Light Productions will also be getting in on the fun with a special puppet workshop and tips on how to create your very own flapping owl puppet character from Welsh mythology.
There's many, many more activities lined up, so if you have a young person who loves to get creative, go online and get signed up to the sessions. https://www.venuecymru.co.uk/take-part-2021
