North Wales Police have warned residents to be on their guard after another series of local scams have been uncovered.
Officers from the Community Safety Unit have reported that many people in North Wales have recieved deceptive phone calls from companies claiming to be the customer's bank.
As a result one local person was said to have lost £4,000 after been persuaded to transfer the money over to another bank account.
"They asked lots of questions and took enough detail to take money from the account," said PCSO Chris Livesey. "Please share this with friends and family - banks will never call and ask to transfer money whatever the reason."
