The big mystery North Wales concert is finally revealed

January 27, 2020 - 1381 views

A number of weeks back Gwynedd Council announced that it was in talks with a major promoter to bring a summer festival back to the Faenol in Bangor.

Rumours were abound that this might see the return of Bryn Terfyl's Faenol Festival which was a regular fixture in the calendar mixing live performances from classical and popular artists such as Van Morrison and Katherine Jenkins.

However those rumours were quashed today when it was revealed that Welsh supergroup The Stereophonics are lined up to play an outdoor concert in the grounds running alongside the beautiful Menai Straits.

The band fronted by Kelly Jones are set to wow crowds from right across North Wales on Saturday July 25th. A second outdoor concert is heading to Scotland a few weeks earlier at Bught Park in Inverness.

Kelly who appeared very recently at Venue Cymru performing tracks from his solo career is said to be excited at the prospective of playing live in the North along with band members Richard Jones, Jamie Morrison and Adam Zindani.

The band is currently playing to packed houses across Europe as part of their Kind Tour. Last night they ramped up the action in Barcelona and reminded their fans that their UK tour begins at the end of February. However the outdoor dates are a one-off and a never to be repeated opportunity for many North Wales fans.

Tickets will go on sale from this Friday (January 31st) at www.myticket.co.uk
