This past weekend, Venue Cymru hosted the annual take pART festival, delivering an unforgettable experience.

Thousands of attendees gathered at the venue on January 13th and 14th, to enjoy a diverse range of creative activities and workshops.

A staggering 2600+ visitors were thrilled to meet the beloved presenters from Cyw, the Welsh language children's television service on S4C. The Cyw team performed on stage in interactive dance and song sessions with the young audience at intervals throughout the weekend. Venue Cymru also welcomed workshops from S4Cs Rownd a Rownd and visitors had the chance to meet some of the well-known characters from Pobol y Cwm as the soap celebrates its 50th year!

From prosthetics workshops with BBC’s Casualty to clog dancing with Hannah Rowlands, the take pART festival truly lived up to its promise of providing a jam-packed weekend of excitement, creativity, and learning. Attendees had the opportunity to try out a variety of artistic and scientific disciplines, including model-making with Aardman, musical theatre, LEGO robotics with Hyett, football commentary, and beatboxing with Mr. Phormula.

A Venue Cymru Spokesperson expressed their excitement, stating, "We have been thrilled to organise and host the take pART festival once again! It's a joy to bring this incredible event to our community and to help inspire young people in the most wonderful ways. A huge thank you to the team here for all the hard work it takes to make this event such a success!"

The festival also featured engaging activities like gadget building with Xplore, roller skating at the CCBC Roller Rink, and a sensory exploration of the animal world with the Welsh Mountain Zoo.
