Train services and travel disrupted across North Wales

December 08, 2021 - 1768 views

Travel across North Wales has been disrupted this morning as a result of Storm Barra which has brought high winds and driving rain to many areas. Power lines are also down in some areas including supply issues in Caernarfon, Dinorwic and some isolated properties in the Conwy Valley.

Network Rail has reported that some speed restrictions remain in place on Wednesday after coming into force on Tuesday. The line from Holyhead to Chester is seeing delays and some services being cancelled as a result.

Llew Jones and Arriva Buses Wales will be accepting train tickets for travel as Transport for Wales confirmed that Conwy Valley services will not run until further notice.

The yellow 'be aware' weather warning for high winds and rain will remain in place until 6pm on Wednesday evening.
