The Westbound carriageway of Conwy Tunnel re-opened earlier this morning, with a 50 miles per hour speed limit in place after safety checks were carried out overnight.
The tunnel had been closed due to a crane lorry fire on Thursday and the setting up of a contraflow in both directions around the headland.
Although the tunnel has re-opened, speed restrictions have been put in place and drivers may experience some on-going congestion at peak times.
Night time closures are expected to happen during forthcoming days to repair damage to lighting caused by the incident.
