Plans to move a long established agricultural show in the Conwy Valley have been met by some concerns from local residents.
The Eglwysbach Show, which will be celebrating their 73rd anniversary this year, is planning to move from its long established site at Cae Henblas in the village to another site near Tal-y-Cafn.
Following a committee meeting earlier in January, a vote took place on the future location of the show and the resulting vote was that the showground was to be moved to Llwydfaen Farm, a short distance from Tal-y-Cafn.
However some residents have voiced their concerns that taking the show away from the village will not only impact on the community but could stop locals from easily attending. Others are in favour of moving it away in response to concerns about traffic on show day.
In response organisers have arranged an open meeting this Wednesday 5th February for locals to attend. The meeting will begin at 7.30pm at Aberconwy Hall in the village and everyone is welcomed.
It isn't the first time that the show has been located at Llwydfaen Farm. The show was orignally held in the village park field in the early years, then moved to Plas Llan Farm and Llwydfan Farm, Tal y Cafn. In more recent years it has moved to Henblas, Eglwysbach.
The Eglwysbach Show is one of Wales' most popular family friendly agricultural shows which attracts many visitors not only locally but from far afield as the North West and the Midlands.
