Wales adopts England's approach to foreign travel

July 10, 2020 - 821 views

Travellers in Wales will be relieved to know that the recently published list of countries exempt from the UK's 14 day 'quarantine' rules will also apply here.

The list which includes travel to destinations such as Italy, France and Spain was announced a number of days ago by the UK Government but this initially applied to just England. Now Welsh Government has confirmed that they are adopting the same list, meaning that travellers no longer have to self isolate on their return home.

Also in today's press conference, the First Minister Mark Drakeford is expected to announce further steps to ease Wales out of lockdown.

This is expected to include further steps to prepare restaurants, bars for re-opening and possibly hairdressers and barber shops - strictly on an appointments basis.
