Wales' infection rate highest since February with new cases

695 new cases of Covid-19 have been reported across Wales on Tuesday. This includes 195 cases in North Wales - 28% of all cases across the country.

Flintshire reported 59, Wrexham 55, Conwy and Denbighshire 26 cases each, Gwynedd 21 and Anglesey 8.

Over the last 7 days, Wrexham has the highest infection rate in Wales at 213.3 cases per 100,000 of population.  313 cases have been reported from the county during that time. 

Conwy is now behind the North Wales average at 142.5 cases per 100,000 of population versus 170. Conwy recorded 167 new cases in the past week.

Wales' average infection rate now stands at over 100 which is the highest since February.
