Police are seriously advising against the use of unlicensed taxis for North Wales events, such as the Gottwood Festival on Anglesey this weekend.
Festival and event goers should plan ahead and book a licensed taxi, use public transport, or rely on friends or family for transportation to ensure their safety.
A spokesperson for North Wales Police warned: "Those who use unlicenced taxis are putting themselves at risk on so many levels - they do not know who they are getting into a vehicle with and if there was a collision, the drivers may not be properly insured. It is also taking away the income of legitimate, licenced local taxi firms.
"Anybody with information about individuals picking up customers illegally are urged to report the matter to their local authority licencing service.
"We will be on active patrol in the area - please heed the warning."
