Working together to support local learning disability

September 09, 2019 - 1643 views

The North Wales Together Project for people with learning disabilities wants to make sure health and social services work together better to support people with learning disabilities.

To do this they are working in conjunction with IPC Brookes to find out what the community thinks and have invited to citizens and carers to be part of the North Wales Together Evaluation Steering Group.

They would like to recruit  four people with learning disabilities and four carers to be part of the group which will meet 3 or 4 times a year until December 2020. The first meeting is planned on Thursday October 10th at the Optic Centre, St. Asaph and throughout the year all travel costs will be paid for.

If you would like to become part of the group or know an adult with learning disabilities who might be interested giving some valuable insight to the group please email Kim Killow at kim.killow@flintshire.gov.uk. She’ll be on hand to answer any questions you might have.
