Celebration event marking 25 years of CVSC

It was my great pleasure to chat with Philip Jones from Conwy Voluntary Services Council earlier today about the forthcoming celebratory event planned for Wednesday 19th October marking 25 years of supporting communities and community groups in Conwy.

The event at Llandudno's Town Hall promises to be fantastic and there's an open invitation for those in the third sector to drop by and enjoy a great schedule of activity:

Come along anytime from 10am to enjoy the real face to face networking opportunities and catch up with the latest funding news!

10am Master of Ceremonies and Welcome – Dilwyn Price with Wendy Jones, Chief Officer and Mary Trinder, Chairperson

High Sheriff of Clwyd - Zoe Henderson – “History and Role of the High Sheriff”  

10am – 4pm Funders’ Fair, funders confirmed to date include:

Guest Speakers:
Esyllt Adair, Clocaenog Forest Windfarm Fund Manager “Essentials of a good Funding Application”. The Clocaenog Forest Wind Farm Fund is supporting communities within the rural area of Conwy and Denbighshire to accomplish amazing things through the long-term investment of £19 million, over the lifetime of the wind farm.

Linda Tavernor (Abergele Community Action/ Conwy Foodbanks) Abergele Community Action is a voluntary organisation and registered Charity which delivers services to local people in Abergele and beyond including Abergele District Foodbank, Abergele Community Money Advice and Abergele Youth Shed.

4pm onwards Networking Opportunities.

5pm CVSC AGM – plus Guest Speaker - Huw Lomas – (Home-Start Conwy, “Changing Times”). Home-Start is a local community network of trained volunteers and expert support in helping families with young children through challenging times. 

Throughout the day:
Bayside Radio Interviews and radio podcast.
Coffee and Cake, Networking Opportunities and Raffle Draw.
