"Take extra care" as many North Wales roads flood

North Wales Police are urging motorists to extra care if travelling as heavy rainfall has been reported across most parts of the region.

A spokesperson said: "We're advising motorists to take extra care if travelling across the region today - our control room operators are receiving a number of reports of flooding on the roads. This includes incidents in the Mold, Denbigh and Rhyl areas.

"We're currently working with partner agencies to respond to these incidents."

A yellow weather warning for heavy rain is now currently in place until 6am Saturday across Conwy and the North Wales Coast.

The weather warning is linked to the arrival of Storm Babet in the UK which has caused havoc in parts of Scotland overnight.
