Llandudno Coastguard has reported a very busy start to the month following incidents up to and over the Easter weekend.
In their online update today, they confirmed that as well providing safety patrols, they dealt with a number of situations including a broken down vessel off Llandudno Pier, a vessel aground at the mouth of the River Conwy and vessel fire just off Conwy which saw 4 people on board safely rescued.
The drama which was captured on social media saw the boat drift down the river where it came to rest on a pontoon where colleauges from North Wales Fire and Rescue Service and the Harbourmaster were able to work together to fight the fire.
The Coastguard also spoke about helping a casualty who had fallen from a sea wall at Porth Eirias. "We assisted the Welsh Ambulance Services NHS Trust with casualty care and carrying the casualty to the waiting ambulance."
Patrols are continuing over the coming days, so if you spot anyone in danger at sea or along the coast, dial 999 and ask for the Coastguard.
