Organisers of the Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza have confirmed that the festival won't be held in the town this year after comment spread on social media in recent days.
A spokesperson for the Llandudno Extravganza said that due to personal circumstances key members of the group have been unable to commit to organising the winter event this year.
In a message to supporters the statement said: "It is with great sadness and after a lot of consideration I must announce that the Llandudno Christmas Extravaganza will not be going ahead this year.
"We hope that another group or organisation decide to organise an event for the town as it is something Llandudno needs. If we hear of anyone taking it on the information will be posted here."
The Victorian Extravaganza committee will instead focus on the 2025 May event. The remaining committee say they will meet soon and details of how to get involved will be shared on their Facebook page.
