After a break of over two years guests gathered to celebrate the life of Rhyl Lifeboat Station in the annual crew dinner.
The dinner took place in the newly reopened 1891 restaurant in Rhyl. The event also witnessed presentations to several long-serving crew members and volunteers for their outstanding service over numerous years.
The David Benjamin Jones Award is presented to a person or group who have made a great contribution to RNLI Rhyl Lifeboat Station. This year it was awarded collectively to the well deserving RNLI Rhyl Shop Volunteers.
Over the past two years they have gone above and beyond and dedicated a huge amount of volunteer hours to keep the shop running.
There were also three Long Service Awards presented at the dinner. Derek Denton has clocked up an amazing 30 years service, whilst Andrew Wilde and Vinny Jones have dedicated an awesome 20 years service each.
The final award presentations for the evening were both to retired Deputy Launch Authorities. Eddie Hammil received a framed Letter of Thanks and John Vickers a Certificate of Service.
The Awards were presented by Station Chaplain and Deputy Lord-Lieutenant of Clwyd Canon John Glover.
Rhyl RNLI Coxswain Martin Jones said: "It was wonderful to be able to hold our annual crew dinner again after a gap of two year, everyone was incredibly grateful to be able to be together again to celebrate the life of Rhyl Lifeboat station.
"Many thanks to 1891 Restaurant for hosting the dinner and a special mention to crew members Andrew Wilde and Callum Robinson who did a great job of organising the whole evening."
