It has been another day of surreal scenes in Snowdonia after some motorists intending to climb Snowdon ignored signs asking them not to block the road.

North Wales Police was in attendance from early this morning along with tow trucks and officers from the Snowdonia National Park Authority.

This followed concerning scenes last weekend which saw over 500 cars line the narrow roads putting emergency vehicles and other motorists at risk. Over 180 parking tickets were issued.

Despite signs warning motorists alongside the side of the road, some motorists chose to ignore them and tow trucks quickly moved in to make good of their promise to keep the area clear.

North Wales Police were taken back by comments from some motorists that the threat of having their cars towed away was a 'bluff'.
