There’s a very warm welcome to the congregations of three local churches from Canon Quentin Bellamy as plans for the annual celebration the Feast of the Baptism of Our Lord is revealed.

This year’s service at Saint Michael’s Church in Betws-yn-Rhos will warmly welcome congregations from neighbouring St. Elian’s Church, Llanelian and St. John’s Church in Old Colwyn on the first Sunday after Epiphany, Sunday January 13th at 10am.

As Canon Bellamy is the interim Vicar of St. Michael’s and Vicar of Old Colwyn and Rector of Llanelian, the celebration is the perfect opportunity to unite congregations from all the Churches and meet new friends and worshippers.

The Baptism of the Lord is the name of a distinct feast day observed in the Roman Catholic Church, the Anglican or Episcopalian Church, as well as the Eastern Orthodox Church. For worshippers, this occasion memorialises the baptism of Jesus Christ in the Jordan River by John the Baptist.
