Not many places remain for thrill seekers to help contribute to our local hospice!
St David’s Hospice, a local palliative care charity is hosting an Abseil Challenge on the 4th and 5th September 2021, in the hope that supporters will raise much needed funds for the charity.
The event was originally taking place on one date, Sunday the 5th September, but due to the event’s popularity, the charity has added an additional date. The event will take place on the 4th and 5th September, with the first abseil to begin at 9am.
Spaces are limited so don’t miss out on the opportunity to support your local charity whilst enjoying the breath-taking views of the Anglesey Coast.
Located at Anglesey Breakwater Park Holyhead, it is situated very close to St David’s Hospice’s brand new four bed Hospice unit located at Ysbyty Penrhos Stanley, Holyhead.
The four-bed inpatient unit, which utilises a redundant ward of the community hospital, now provides the local people of Anglesey, respite and end of life care for those living with life-limiting illnesses, as well as providing support for many of their loved ones.
Keri McKie, St David’s Hospice’s Anglesey and Gwynedd Area Fundraiser encouraged people to take part: “It’s been a challenging 18 months for St David’s Hospice during the Covid pandemic, with events cancelled, cafés and shops closed, our charity faced extreme financial struggle.
”However, the support we received from our local communities has been overwhelming.”

The event requires a £29 registration fee with a £100 minimum sponsorship.
All money raised will contribute towards St David’s Hospice providing end-of-life care free of charge to the people of Conwy, Gwynedd and Anglesey.
