Mental Health: Local help from Conwy MIND

May 23, 2020 - 2886 views

We are just coming towards the end of Mental Health Awareness Week and on Bayside we have been discussing tips and advice to help us all come to terms with lockdown and a very different life to what we are used to.

On Friday I had the opportunity to catch up with Rachel and Claire from Conwy Mind to find out about the type of problems we are all experiencing at the moment and most importantly highlighting the fact that many of us all feeling the same way. There is absolutely no shame or stigma in seeking some help and advice as anxiety and stress levels begin to go up.

And you might be thinking like me, that organisations like Conwy Mind are just for people suffering from serious mental health issues and that is definately not the case. One day you might feel like not getting out of bed and whilst there's nothing wrong with a good old duvet day, this can esculate meaning that depression and isolation turns into mental isolation.

So why not take a listen to my podcast which is about 15 minutes long? If it helps just one person in the Colwyn Bay and Conwy county area then it has been worth while.
